Edward R. Collier
Edward Collier is veteran lawyer with over 20 years experience. He is a member of the Georgia State Supreme Court and Court of Appeals, as well as a member of the United State District Court, Middle District of Georgia, United States Court of Appeals, Eleventh Circuit as well as the United States Supreme Court.
Mr. Collier began his career as the Assistant District Attorney for the Northeastern Judicial Circuit in 1990. However, the following year, he joined Collier & Gamble as a partner in 1991. During that time, he has also served as County Attorney for both Calhoun and Terrell Counties. In 1995, he was appointed Juvenile Court Judge for the Pataula Judicial Circuit, where he still serves today.
He is a 1986 graduate (A.B.) from the University of Georgia and a 1990 graduate of Mercer University. (Juris Doctor J.D.)
In his spare time, he has served as a member of several civic clubs including the Boys & Girls Club of Terrell County, Better Hometown Task Force, Downtown Dawson Development Authority, Terrell County Airport Authority, Dawson Rotary Club and currently serves as a member of the Board of Trustees for Deerfield-Windsor School.
In 2003, he graduated from Leadership Georgia. In 2013, he was elected to the Board of Governors, State Bar of Georgia.
Ed is married to Beth. They have 3 children, Marli, MaryJohn and Baker. The Colliers are members of the First Baptist Church in Dawson.
